Cherry Creek Trail

The picturesque Cherry Creek Regional Trail starts at the headwaters in Castlewood Canyon State Park and travels north 42 miles to Confluence Park, the historic birthplace of Denver. This highly loved trail is used daily by members of the ten jurisdictions the trail travels through. The trail is also a vital piece of the Colorado Front Range Trail, a long-term vision to connect Wyoming to New Mexico through Colorado with a trail system. The planning, design, and construction of this trail always made a priority the idea of balancing human interactions with resource preservation of the creek and the surrounding habitat while connecting multiple communities.
