Dean started the Architerra Group in 1999 to bring creative and highly technical landscape architectural services to public sector clients in the Front Range area. He has built his extensive and storied career around works in the public sector. His vast experience is seen throughout the nation but his true passions are the public spaces within the very community where he and his family live and work.
One of Dean’s core values is giving back to the profession. He has been a volunteer with the Council of Landscape Architectural Registration Boards (CLARB) as an exam grader/writer and served two terms on the Board of Directors. He was actively involved in obtaining a licensure law for the State of Colorado and served two terms on the Colorado State Board of Landscape Architects. He has also been involved in the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) serving as the Colorado Chapter President. He was elevated to the ASLA Council of Fellows in 2012 for Service to the Profession.
Outside of work Dean enjoys golfing, craft beer, the great outdoors and traveling.
